第一阶段课本知识扫描。
这个阶段按单元进行全面复习。但要突出和解决重点和难点。
第二阶段是语法专项复习。
按照名词，代词，形容词等等词性以及简单句并列句，复合句等方面，从语法的角度对英语知识进行回顾复习。使学生对英语知识的了解有更深刻的认识。在这一阶段，首先通过学生自学《中考总复习》书中的典型例题和分析，了解中考的重点动向。
第三阶段是进行中考题型专练。
综合专项练习和选用模拟考卷。综合练习是一种通过全面的复习，使学生所掌握的各种知识更加巩固和扎实的手段。

注重效率。每一环节要检查到位。有布置有检查。
二、要有针对性，不要面面俱到。
时间有限，我们和兄弟学校比的就是时间和效率。
三、加大非选择题的检查力度。

主要是对课本知识的一个回顾总结、整理归纳和升华。其中对七年级的复习用两周时间、八年级的利用三周、九年级的知识也利用三周时间。让学生对三年来所学的知识进行温故知新，把所有的单词和课文再过一遍，做到心中有数。对于日常交际会话和情景话题要求其烂熟于心。教师做到认真备课，精讲精练。要注意基础知识复习阶段不是简单的课本知识重现，而是教师要引导学生归纳复习，以点带面，让学生做到举一反三。此阶段可以适当给学生布置一些课外作业，让其对所复习的知识进行巩固练习。但应以简单易懂且有代表性的习题为主。
从这一阶段的一开始，就可以采用英语“四位一体"教学法中的“抓中间、促两头”的新型关注视角，即主要关注中间段的学生，以促进优等生和学困生为辅，这样以大面积学生成绩的提高带动整体教学质量的进展不失为一种教育教学策略。
第二轮为专项训练阶段。(5.1—5.15)
本阶段进行语法方面和各个不同题型的专项复习，让学生明确语
法项目和语用规则，在各个不同的题型中寻找和总结答题技巧。
第三轮为考前模拟阶段。(5.16—6.16)
这是一个模拟演练的集中营。让学生进行考前热身，在限时训练中让其熟悉陕西近年中考中各种题型的答题技巧，提高答题效率和正确率。另外，在此阶段还要进行听力的强化训练。今年中考英语听力的难度有所增加，第一题不再是听句子选答语，而是直接就来一段对话，这可能会在学生心理上造成一定的压力。另外在听力训练时不仅要告诉学生听力答题技巧，更要进行心理辅导。
